‘In the end, she became more than what she expected. She became the journey, and like all journeys, she did not end, she just simply changed directions and kept going.’
– R. M. Drake
Writing isn’t just about putting pen to paper, its a means of expression and a pathway to finding yourself. Writing has always been a strong passion of mine, and something I always wanted to take on full-time.
So, when I decided to take a stand, take my life into my own hands and aim to become a full-time writer, I never thought my dreams would turn into a reality.
A lot of people have asked me when I knew I wanted to become a writer. I’m not sure there is really a time I can say I knew I wanted to be one because it was always there within me.
I wasn’t the sort of kid who would sit inside and watch cartoons. I was that kid who was running around the backyard with a foam shooter pretending that I was Legolas from Lord of the Rings, or finding the coolest stick in the scrub and entered into an intense duel with Lord Voldemort.
